software Cd problems

i bought a Z1 laptop about a year ago, and its great. no problems there. however, when i put the recovery cd that came with it into the cd drive, nothing happens. i've tested the cd on about 4 other computers but the same result each time. its like the cd is totally blank and theres nothing on it.

has this happened to anyone else?

should i contact sony to get a new cd sent to me?

i don't think i should pay for a new cd, but that seems like a likely outcome.

any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi

You can contact them on this number: 0870 240 2408 (0.07 GBP/min)

BTW. Your statutory rights are unnafected. The product -in this case a CD - failed to do what it is intended and described to do.

You should only have to pay for the cost of the call, nothing else.

BEWARE it i sony were talking about here, the same people who charge you £10 for telling them a problem they might not even be able to fix

You shouldnt have to pay for a new one just because the original didnt work it is sony's fault so i dont see why they should make money out of it
