software on recovery DVD

Hi,

I've upgraded my Vaio k115s with XP Pro. Offcourse, I do mis the programs on de Vaio recovery DVD now, like, the simple DVD burn program, the desktops, one of the drivers (I think the one for the memory stick) and, most important, the extra funcions to change screen brightness and to change volume with the Fn+F3-F6 combinations.

Who can tell me where to find this kind of stuff on the original recovery DVD? It's out there, somewhere.......but, where?

Thanks in advance for al suggestions!

Well, there's a program calles 'kcap.exe', which can extract the .pac files on the DVD. You can find it on the internet.
Futhermore, the map c:\utils which is on the the HD originally, has a file called utils.exe. This program is for the functionality of the Fn keys and the Vaio power management.
You also can find this program on the vaio download site, although, the link doesnt work at this moment.
So, the only thing I didn't find yet are the original screensavers. For the rest, it's complete. All additional software, like the Adobe stuff, the Vaio media stuff, Moodlogic, Drag n Drop on DVD, Click to DVD and Intervideo DVD player are all in the .pac file.........
good luck!
