System Restore problems

I have a a month old S4XP with XP which also has Adobe Acrobat Elements on it. When I was installing my printer software I saw an printer icon for Adobe PDF and thought it was for another printer which I didn't need. So I stupidly deleted it.

When I tried to use Acrobat Elements a couple of weeks later, I was told it could not find something to function and I suddenly remembered what I had deleted.

So I did a system restore back to the time before I deleted it and now the Adobe Elements is working fine but the system is very slow and I cannot send or receive emails in Outlook 2003 and get the following message.

[Name of account] Receiving reported error 0X8004210A: 'The operation times out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server. If you continue to receive this message contact your server administrator or internet service provider (ISP).'

I have another computer which does receive emails, so it's not to do with the ISP. Can anyone help?

Well, it is a lot warmer than my three year old iBook, that's for sure. It might be worth investing in a laptop stand to keep the air circulating underneath when using it on a desk, although that's not ideal and costs more money! However the size, the 13.3" screen, is not standard. I was looking for a padded case so that I could slip it in my rucksack without the rucksack screaming out: "Alert, alert, laptop backpack, expensive laptop". The nearest I could get was a 14" Gimp which I think will be ok but I might stuff some material in with it to make it extra snug. Do you know of any laptop slip cases, rather than full blown bags, which are a snug fit for this size laptop?

TechAir looks really just like any other bag, but they're quite cool

They look pretty good. At least they don't scream, "I'm a Vaio, pinch me!" :clown: But I'm really just looking for a slip case to pop into my rucksack. But thanks for the link. The airbag technology sounds really good.
