Hi
My TX1XP has 1Mb memory. I understand this is made up from 512Mb internal and 512Mb add-on. Can I upgrade this 512Mb to 1024Mb - making a total 1.5Gb?
Will this actually help performance etc?
At the moment my memory is up to 80%.
Thanks
According to CRUCIAL your computer supports 1Gb of memory.
With the 512Mb soldered to your Mobo you are already there.
Hi fellow biker
Woah - R1 - sounds fun. I've got a GSXR1300!!
As far as I can see the VGN-TX1XP/B can take 1.5Mb memory?

I am not sure how I can check this as I cannot find the info here on the Sony site!
Although it would mean taking out the 512Mb card and putting in the 1Gb card - so it seems a shame unless I can sell the other on Ebay!
Not really sure if needed!!
Ride safe.
Seems to be a bit of a discrepancy, unless Crucial don't count the preinstalled 512Mb.
Can anyone else clarify
BTW pleased to see a fellow biker here
Apologies, just looked on Vaio-Link, it can take 1.5Gb. Crucial must have not included the preinstalled 512Mb.
Ebay sounds a good bet to get rid of your redundant DIMM if you upgrade.
Go easy with the right hand
Remember to post questions in the right forum headers too, this should really be in notebooks
Sorry.
I did search to see where hardware type questions were posted!
Will be more careful!
