So i gathered some info regarding upgrading windows 7 to windows 8 on my 2 VAIOs VPCF22l1E. WIndows 8 and Windows 8.1 upgrade is supported, Windows 10 upgrade is not.
Before starting VAIO and Windows should be up to date. It should be checked that the VAIO recover partition is in place.
According Sony Europe uninstall:
VAIO care
VAIO update
Intel PROset/Wireless wifi
Arcsoft Magic
According Sony US uninstall:
Arcsoft Magic
VAIO care
VAIO controlcenter
VAIO smartnetwork
VAIO update
Also there is SOny general upgrade info that states that the following will be uninstalled automatic when upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8.
PMB VAIO edition
VAIO Media Plus
VAIO Messenger
VAIO touch Portal
VAIO Boot Manager
Quick web access no longer available after upgrade.
Once Windows 8 is installed i should run VAIO Update (for Software and Updates).
My questions are:
What should be uninstalled when upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8?
How do i get stuff like VAIO update, VAIO care and VAIO controlcenter back after the upgrade (since i need to uninstall those)?
