USB Flash memory sticks

My VGN s2XP won't recognise any memory devices like USB flash memory sticks - it can see them there but won't let me either read them or write to them. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a lack of power to the USB ports.
Try a powered hub to see if this is the problem
