Hi,
I just recently bought a Sony Vaio VGN-FS315H and installeda fresh Version of Windows XP Professional. Now what I didn't know was to save the Revovery Partition which is now lost. No Problem at all as all drivers are available on Sony's Internet Page.
BUT! There's no Driver for the Hotkey (Fn) Function. Nothing works, i already installed some from older Notebooks, but it doesn't work (HKServ.exe is running). Has anyone the Original Drivers and can mail them? Or can anyone from Sony help me? Pleeeeeeease!
Best regards from Germany
Hi and welcome to Club Vaio.
If you haven’t already done so, download and install (in numeric sequence, starting with Installer Folder 1) the pre-installed UTILITIES for your model from Vaio Link.
After a re-boot the Hotkeys should work, if not then try installing the utilities again as some members have reported that it took up to three installs to take effect.
Hey, it actually worked!
Confusing, as it didn't when I installed all Utilities the first time...
Thanks, now I can really enjoy my Vaio 😃
Best regards from Germany once again
