Vaio Updates

Hi guys - does anyone know how to correct a problem i'm having with Vaio Update programe. Each time i click the task bar icon and from start menu to load it up - i get a message saying that i am not connected to the internet. I definatly am and have even tried again with NIS turned off - but still no joy. any help would be greatly recved!!! thanks

Vaio Update uses IE only. Have you got

allowed in IE and your firewall as a trusted site?

HI Blencogo and thanks for the reply. Yes have the site allowed in IE and the firewall. But still get the little vaio pop error message saying that i am not conected!

Have you got Cookies enabled?

If you block these it can cause a problem.

I presume, that you're using LAN connection. If you really do so, try to erase every dial-up connections (in case you have some, for example Bluetooth connection). It helped me few times...

hi thanks for that - not sure how i delete dial up connections - looked in the network connections folder and i cant see anthing apart from the LAN connection.
