Hello.
So finaly i can enjoy my xp pro on my vaio .
- I can not found the sound card !!!
- There is a Pci device not recognised !!!
- The Best (I try to install some Vaio stuff from the application CD and
the autorun doesnt work)
Does this autorun have to recognised that it is a vaio to run???!!!!
Thankx?
You might find the drivers for the card on Realtek's website
There is no sound card.
The SigmaTel chip is on the motherboard and appears in Device Manager under Sound, Video and Game Controllers - SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC.
You only have 2 PCI devices - the Graphics Card and the TV Tuner.
Thanks.
As i try to install sigma tel driver, i always have this message.
Device object not present, restart the system and run setup again.
Maybe windows installed me wrong motherboard drivers (also fix the pci problem)?????
Where can i find witch model of board i have???
Okay .
Maybe my problem comes from the modem ..
The modem is the pci thats not recognised and i can't install the driver from driver folder !!!!!
Hi again Partytiger,
I hope all this is worth it in the end - you've convinced me NOT to try and upgrade to XP Pro.
Hopefully you are nearly there - I don't know if you need the motherboard type any more, for info it is:
Board: Intel Corporation PRAGUE AAD12395-205
Serial Number: BTPR53501XXX
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: Intel Corp. PR94510J.04T.0078.2005.0829.110408/29/2005
You may like to look at the US Sony Download site - they do not have the exact same model numbers but they do have all the drivers, including the modem driver
HERE
(Quite a lot of Goodies on this site if you can match the model numbers)
ALL DRIVERS & UPDATES
Good Luck!
(Sorry about all the EDITS - had trouble getting URL to work!
do you still have this problem or do you know how to solve it?
I have a SZ1 with exactly the same problems.
No sound card found, no modem, unknow pci device and the corresponding drivers don't work.
It did work for 5 months, but after a Windows re-install I did get these problems?!?!?
