VGC V2S cannot write to any media

I have tried writing to a DVD+R , DVD-R and a CDR on my new Vaio in order to create the backup desks but it rejects every media I put in.

Any known issues or tests I should run pls

Hi Katie942 and welcome to the forum.

If you have the DW-D56A optical drive fitted in your V2S and it is rejecting the second disk during the recovery media creation, there is an update (VAIO Recovery Utility version 2.2.01.17110) available on Vaio-Link.

Should you be encountering general CD/DVD write problems and the drive is the DW-D56A then there is the possibility the drive is defective. Search this forum for DW-D56A and you will see that many other members have had similar problems.
