Whilst serving in the army in Germany i Bought this laptop however everything that is installed on it is in German is there anyway i can change it all over to the english equivalent as i dont understand German.

Hi Andy and welcome to the forum.

Your only option is to purchase and install an English version of XP but then of course you will not have the Sony applications. You can however download and install all the necessary Sony drivers and utilities from Vaio-Link.
