Hi all,
i recently brought VIAO FS215B. i am using it over cable internet connection and firefot browser. but what i have been consistantly observing is that the internet speed drops after a while.. to pathetic speed and the pages dont open up. this happens consisitantly and as you can imagine is exasperating!!!

DO you guys have any suggestion or idea on what to do. ohh and i use XP home.
i tried lokking into e-support site but that also is not taking my product id. i cant understand why not, it says product code not valid.

please help me, i AM in real misery. no exaggeration.

about ur you will receive the page cannot found in firefox ! this problem happen to IE too ? or no ?

try ping one site on your CMD
open CMD and type : ping www.yahoo.com
see u will receive reply from yahoo or ! then tell me
ok ?

XP is home is right for normal windows costumer ! XP Professional is for Someone work in NETWORK and PROGRAMMERS

i bought by laptop from sony online. when i start my laptop, the internet speed is fine. (i use firefox browser). but over a period of time (one hour or something like that) the speed starts dropping and pages take longer to come up.
i think it is just HHTP traffic. as if i am using torrent program and that works fine (i think).

with IE. the speed improves a bit. but not drastically.
i thought it was something to do with the OS mentioned or something that is why i said XP home. i am actually happy with that

This site loads very slowly by the way. Perhaps do a spyware scan using MS Antipsyware and Ad-aware

about slowing your INTERNET ! problem is not from your OS
XP is fine !

i have same this problem last 8/9 month ago !
i call to ISP about asking why my internet is slow ! they say your computer infected with viruses ! for believing they are say true !
i try access to internet with my Windows 2003 !
and in windows 2003 i didnt see any problem

tell me ! when your internet going to slow , Check ur internet connection ( double click on it ) and see how much Bytes your connection sent
and when ur net going to slow , dont work with broswer and see double monitor is still on or no ?

I really don't get it I have a two computer sharing DSL connection. This site is ALWAYS fast for me and I'm in Brazil. It was slow for me too but now use Diskeeper Pro, AdAware, and Tuneup Utilies. If it is slow you have latency or lossy on your computer. I have 1gig of RAM which helps too. Get your 'puter in good shape and you'll be fine.

Hmm i am using adsl wireless routher with currently 4 laptop connected wireless, 1 cable and 1 Ipaq wireless.. and my connection is still fast btw i am using 2mb broadband.

So i guess it your isp problems.. not your vaio problems..

i bet problem is from his vaio

because if problem is from ISP ... they have many costumer ... and costumer will them ass off :smileygrin:
so they will fix it under 3/4 day
