W1 TV reception is awful?

Hi I'm new here so sorry if this has been discussed before but I can't get a good picture on my W1. I've tried the best portable antennas money can buy but still no good. Any suggstions would be welcomed.

using only satellite.

If you will ask specificly I will try that functionfor you.

I find it a waste of material these days to put
a tuner in and it produces heat, . . . unneccessario !
On a demodulator it's a good TV
compared with what it is as a "computer" ha ha ha not even
microsoft compaytable !

what cable do you use to connect to yr satelite receiver as I am also having problems getting a good picture on the sky channel

the best portable/indoor aerials are still pretty poor compared to a 'on the roof' job.

i found the w1 tele a little sub standard but then i hooked up a freeview box to it and WOW, what a difference.

so if you can, roof aerial, freeview box, or sky of course.... and remember if your aerial is feeding other tvs a booster will help too.

The problem with Sky and Freeview is that Gigapocket can't change their channels or record from them without you setting the channel on the box.

Wouldn't it be better to use Hauppage TV Cards instead? I know it isn't exactly ideal, but this software seems to work very well. We used it in Sixth Form and it gave us no problems (Win98SE).

you can get sky to change the channel for you with reminder, and you hook up to vaio via the video in, then you set gigapocket to record the video in, and sky to change channel, job done....

not that i have sky... it was merely to say that you get better reception using freeview or sky....

Really? I have to press select for it to change when there's a remind on-screen....
