For 6 months now I am a (not so) happy owner of a vaio fs215m.
A few days back I discovered that the touchpad icon in the notification area is gone, and with it the scrolling ability by use of the touchpad.
I tried everything I know, but there seems to be no touchpad installed any more on my machine, even though it works fine (apart from the scrolling issue...)
The APOINT drivers are in place but nothing happens when executed.
In the control panel the touchpad options have been replaced by some vague/general mouse options.
I recently got a new mouse and installed its drivers...could all that be related?
And if so, how can I get my touchpad back? (I already hate my new laser mouse...)
For some reason my notebook model (fs-215m) is not acceptable by the sony support site, so I can't find the original drivers, in case something is wrong with mine.
Anyone any ideas? I would appreciate some advice!

Hi I don't know much about your problem but try this link for the drivers Viao Downloads
Your original touch pad driver should be there, but I honestly don't know the best solution to your problem.

Hi, I think you should run the original file Util.exe to restore your Touchpad. It's in C:/Util or you can download in vaio-link, your Touchpad will work correctly. Remember: don't remove the touchpad icon in the taskbar, it's the reason for that problem.
