XL100 touchpad tapping

Hi..great site, and its nice to see so many people giving and offering help. I have recently purchased the XL100 and i cant seem to turn the touchpad tapping off on the VGP-WKB4GB keyboard. If someone could lead me in the right direction I would be very grateful of their help.

Thanks in advance:smileycool:

Hi ZOSFAS and welcome to Club VAIO.

I have a RC-102 with the wireless keyboard and touchpad and I have never found a way to disable the touchpad tapping. Unlike a laptop where the touchpad is an individual device (usually driven by an Alps driver) it is recognised only as part of the keyboard in Device Manager but does not seem to have any touchpad settings.

Perhaps we will both learn something here if anyone knows how to find the settings for this touchpad!!

Thank you for your reply, lets hope we do, as its quite annoying when playing games etc....great idea as it is, i'd like to turn it off.

I raised this matter with Sony support and I have been told that the keyboard driver does not support configuration of the touchpad. If you look at the driver you will see that the pointing device is a Mouse!!

Lets hope that an updated (useful) driver is produced ASAP.
