Screen Repair Z4 Tablet

Hello,

I sent to Sony Assistant Servicce my Xperia Z4 Tablet the 2nd of January to repair my broken screen.

I paid 472€ for that but after almost 4 months they havent been able to repaired ir yet.

What should I do?

I've already fullfill several complaints, Send over 30 emails, phone calls....

In your website it is said that you return the product fixed within 10 days!!!!

It is obvious that someone has cheated on me but right now I believe that you can't repair Z4 Tablet Screens an thats something important to know for someone thinking of buying one.

Please, I just want my tablet back....Is it to much to ask for?

With proper lawyers....youll get the purchase money back easily....

It's unbelievable (and by the way Ilegal)...But it's like that. 

They don't repair your screen.....Even if you pay for that.

According to European law that's ilegal, but the fact that they make you go through all this..it's just disgusting.

Same horrible experience here.

Bought a Z4 Tablet and the display got a big crack.

Tablet works fine but there's a crack in the middle. Corners are obviously intact (there was no fall)

I didn't drop the tablet and I am extemely careful, I use it in a rigid cover.

I owned 2 previous tablets of different brands and I trashed them when they were obsolete.

They were much more resistant and reliable than the dearer sony z4.

Spare parts are not available anywhere and the Sony customer support is non existent.

As someone already suggested there are only 2 options:

1. move on and take the loss

2. contact a layer and ask advice

It's a painful lesson learned..Sony, never again for smartphone and tablets, only for big LCDs for my living room (they are good products with no major drawbacks).

Hi there, 

I'm sorry to hear another sad story from Sony. 

As I said I'm suing Sony with the support of Facua, an Spanish Customer Asociation. 

It's going to be long... But I believe that this is my dutty. 

Aditionally I fulfilled another oficial complaint and I got a feed back from the official department that handle them saying that that are already looking into that. 

I will keep you updated, but if I could give you and advice..... I'd say to follow the same path I'm doing.... Pretty much because it's the right thing to do.... 

If anyone want any extra information.... Please, let me know.

I've just cracked my screen on my Z4. 

What country you from. Hopefully get better service in UK.

By the way, I got a qote from an authorized Sony repair centre here in Italy:

280 EUR to replace the screen.

Of course, no warranty although the tablet is less than 1 year old and the crack sprang up spontaneously.

Tablet still works perfectly and hopefully will keep running, I will just have to get used to it.

It makes no sense to spend almost 300 EUR.

Forgot to say, I contacted 4 repair centres, only one replied to me via email after 6 days.

Not really a good job in identifying and qualifiyng your authorized centres. Well done Sony!

Hi there,

It's always glad to hear that somebody is being treated better than me.

My quotation was 473 € for the screen..So 280€ seems really reasonable to me.
