I've had this tablet since around 2013, it worked fine for years, then after a few years it just stopped charging. When I unplug the charger and plug it back in, it does it again, LED lights up then off again, after a few times of doing this, it just doesn't light up at all. I am always gentle with this tablet, never dropped it or misused it.
Problem: When any charger is plugged into it, the LED lights up Red, then after 10 mins the light goes off. Won't turn on during this time and leaving it plugged in does nothing.
Things I've tried from this forum:
- Using different outlets, chargers, USB cables
- Buying a new internal battery for it (had to buy 2, one was the wrong model)
- Buying a new Micro USB port to replace the old internal one
- Leaving it plugged in for more than a day
- Doing a "soft reset" by holding the power button and volume down, does nothing
After all these years I'd love to have this working again, but I can't think of anything else to do. Obviously I can't send it to Sony because I've opened the back panel.
