HOW Can I disable (delete/kill/etc) Retail DEMO MODE... most annoyng think in the World after craizy frog.

Solved.

1. Unblocked device officially.

2. Flashed SGP512_17.1.A.2.36

DEMO MODE had disappeared.

Just want to add, after receiving yet another Demo unit (from Russia no less, but they are notorious for using Demo units and selling them at inflated full retail prices) (Seems Sony.ru  should put an end to this practice, as they, Sony Russia, have been informed countless times about it) I can verify that on the 4g version, the previous dialer cdes work in removing at least 1 demo app from system memory.

Of course the best thing, is to not put useless apps in /System to begin with.

Other than that, in the past 5 hours, I am amazed with this tablet! It's pretty awesome!

On another note, being tied in directly with the largest devlopment site in the world (am sure you know which one), would ask Sony to supply any "unbricking" programs they could possibly do, in the interest of further development.

Whenever I connect charger with xperia z2 tablet wifi.
its all settings got clear even it becomes unlock. And retail demo started to run.
Plz help me to delete this demo.

If you can turn this off or not depends on if you have a retail unit where demo mode has been enabled or if you have a demo unit which is not meant for sales.

If you have a retail unit you can turn off demo mode by following the instructions in this post: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Tablet-Z/how-can-i-turn-off-the-sales-mode/m-p/394183#M1601

But if you are unable to turn this off by entering *#*#73556673#*#* in the dialer the unit you have is a special demo unit not meant for sales and you need to contact your dealer. They should not sell you a demo unit.

I've got the same problem!

Just bought an Xperia Z2 2 days ago, and this video won't stop as long as the device is charging.

The phone I got was from the showroom, so it makes sense.

The main points for me are:

1) Is there any difference between a regular retail phone and a demo unit (except of course for the annoying demo mode)? I mean, is the hardware exactly the same, or is the demo unit missing something or inferior somehow?

2) Most importantly: how do I turn this off???

Already tried typing the *#*#73556673#*#* code, but no results. It does have an IMEI, and seems to work just fine so far.

I'm pretty sure this can be solved by rooting the phone, but first I'd like to try options which won't void my warranty.

Go to settings - Apps - All

Then go to :
Retail store - perform force stop, clear cache and disable

Also,
Retail widget - perform force stop, clear cache and disable

go to location in settings. find demo stub. disable it. clear all data for demo stub. then uninstal demo stub app from app drawer. this worked for me. good luck....
