This means i rebooted the phone, checked the rotation in browser and put the phone to my pocket. Half an hour or an hour later checked the phone again. No rotation
I mentioned again and again: it seems neither what's new nor the maintenance update is the culprit. For me disabling a few apps seems to help, at least for the last eight days.
I saw your post in this x performance rotation problem and think it is definitely a software issue, I've had my x performance from new since mid July and the accelerometer and gyroscope has been working fine right up until the software update on 14th Oct. This means it is definitely not hardware problem. Hope Sony release a fix so. If not then I'll see if the issue is fixed with the android 7 update. If it still persists then I'll go to another make after being with Sony for the last 10 years
What apps have you disabled, I've tried everything but nothing works, since the last update I haven't changed anything but all worked fine until the update on 14th oct
In my case the latest app that was disabled was Google Now (Google search widget), after that everything is fine second day. I did next : Reinstall Google app (by instruction that was a few posts ago) and enable Google Now - issue returns in one hour. Reinstall Google app again, but did not enable Google Now - everything is fine second day.
Just did a repair of the software and everything worked for about 1 hr then accelerometer stopped working again. Will start disabling some apps to see if it will work. Is it confirmed that the problem is software related? If it's hardware related I will send in my phone tomorrow
Hi guys the only fix if you don't want to restart again is accelometer calibration app from Playstore it came as a blessing for me lol no problem whatsoever of rebooting just run the app and accelometer gets fixed I don't know for how long will give updates for time being use as a temporary fix.. Restart once and everytime u get stuck run app but don't restart..
