Black screen trying to update android for the first time

Hello, yesterday i bought a sony xperia L and today I tried to update it. So the screen remains black but with the light on after saying the mobile will be rebooting, i am having this problem like an hour. What can I do?

Did you xperia complete correctly the update?

If not force power off removing battery, remove SD card (if inserted) and connect your phone to a PC

Later, using PC companion, try to repair the firmware.
