No notifications

I don't receive any notifications from Facebook, Twitter, Fb messenger, Snapchat, Tumblr, Tinder etc. The only things I get notifications from are texts and Whatsapp. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing data and every other suggestion I've found so far, but it still isn't working.

N.B. I bought the phone in France on Orange (fr), then switched operators to Joe Mobile (no idea if this is relevant)

Oh also this only happens when I'm using my mobile data. When I connect to any sort of WiFi I get all my notifications through at once, which is really quite annoying

Do you have Stamina mode on?

See if you have disabled data for the individual apps at Settings--Data usage. If so, the apps will use data only when on wifi. You might have to check the past monthly cycles too. Because once disabled they remain disabled, but are not shown except in the monthly cycle in which they were disabled.

I did disable them a while ago but then I enabled them again, but you say they remain disabled? Is there anyway to stop that?

Just check if data for these apps is enabled or disabled at Settings--Data usage. If data is enabled then tell us if the apps themselves do connect to the internet when they are open. If apps do connect to the internet when open but not while running in the background (to display notifications of new events, etc), then probably you've disabled just the background data for these apps. Re-enable it.

Also note that if you don't see the apps at Settings--Data usage, there are two possible reasons:

1. You disabled data for these apps in one of the past monthly cycles of your data plan. If so, they won't be displayed in the subsequent cycles. Go to the cycle in which you disabled data for these apps or the ones before that, and re-enable them.

2. The apps have not yet attempted to connect to the internet at all.

See if you had used app killers /task manager of any sort in the past
Some automatically kill apps on standby to save battery
And sometimes after killing the notification never come again (you have to reinstall it)

All the notification lights turn on instead of one colour
These colours work fine
Blue
Red
Green
All other colours appear together mixed up
Issue exists in both firmware updates
