My phone memory is pretty much full completely (with hardly any apps on the phone) it says 324MB used and 96MB free.
My SD card storage has LOADS of available space - 1.3GB used, 6.1GB free.
I have absolutely no idea how apps can be saved via the SD card instead of the phone, and it is getting ridiculous because I have about 14 updates available for apps, and have no way of updating them, and physically can't get on to some of the apps without updated versions!
I know if you go on Settings, Apps, some have the option to 'move to SD card' but this is hardly any..
Would really appreciate some advice!
i have exactly the same issue.
barely any apps on the phone but the memory's full.
looking foward to someone helping out.
have the sony support team on chat n they dont seem to have a solution either
apparently.
I'm getting rid of the phone in the next couple of weeks so doesn't matter to me too much now, it's frustrating that no one has any answers though, it seems like something you could so easily find a solution to!
Root the phone & then install DS Apps to SD.
The issue is down to several things.
Low memory built in to the phone.
Preinstalled junk apps a lot of people dont want that cant be removed easily.
Lazy app writers who cant be bothered with setting up saving there app to an sd card.
There is another issue but it doesnt really concern the Arc S - Google not wanting you to be able to save app's to an SD card function in later versions of Android operating system & claiming it's to do with security reasons for the operating system.
