I thought this was only available for the Z3 series, This may account for your issue

Has your Z2 had the firmware update to allow this and is this feature available in your country?

You defo need to update your phone Then when you search for remote play app it will work.
Mhl cable should work with it for tv output in a different room too!

I've ordered one of them virtual reality viewers off of amazon for £18. Not the cardboard ones.
I'm hoping there will be some way of playing remote play ps4 through it. Obviously I'm not expecting head movement tracking but it should be like a big screen. 200inch apparently. I think I need to split the screen on it though which can create a 3d effect..
if it works sony and their remote play will once again shift more of these tech packed phones off the shelves..
