screen locked out

Hi,

My son tried a wrong screen unlock pattern 20 times (or more!!!) and locked the screen of my phone. I had a security question and answer set in the phone. Unfortunately I cannot key in the answer for the question due to malfunctioning of the touch screen. The touch screen is not functioning on the extreme right side from top to bottom! The screen don't rotate either when the phone is locked.

Is it possible to unlock the phone or reset it manually?

You can reset this lock by reinstalling the phone software using SUS.

But that will also reset all personal information stored in the phone.
