Sony recommends the use of (in the Australian Market ) of an app called "File Commander" created by the same people that developed "OfficeSuite" (which you may already have pre-installed on your device?) -click here- for link to GooglePlay.
The app does not require a "root" command and so does not void your warranty, it is similar to navigating to your device using your PC.
Using this app you will be able to find the location of the physical file folder, you will also notice that different apps e.g. AR Effects store files in different locations where as the camera from factory stores a photo under; Internal Storage => DCIM => 100ANDRO => DSC_0001.JPG (the number changes when you take more pictures).
It is also possible, to re-locate files using the cut and paste feature, just as you would using the PC.
