some update

what has just happened, i noticed i had a update due on my phone so i updated it.........now, how can i revert it? funny thing, i had a nokia n8 and their stupid updates slowly but surely stuffed the phone up and if sony is going to go down the same route then Ebay it goes. i am more than angry, fripping thing wont cheap grrrr grrr grrr grrr grrr

What update did you get and why do you want to revert?

well, i read afew post in here and after spendin 3 hrs backin up/reinstallin/restorin then reloadin my apps seems to of sorted it, however, i now have a light box (lighter than my black wallpaper) from edge to edge about 5mm high just above the home button, seems the 4 icons sort of sit on it so god knows wot that is/for

All i can say for any1 havin trouble with the update is to reinstall it but give yourself afew hrs to do it cuz its a ballache

Probably the new interface,I do not own Z1.

Which build version you have? Check on Settings>About phone at the bottom under build number. the latest official release is 14.2.A.0.290 the 14.2.A.1.114 is not release yet

yer 290. now i have no notification sound, i set the sound then i get a notification with no sound and i check and its back on the 'none' setting....fun fun fun

Did you try reboot? and if it didnt work.... did you repaired on SUS?

its been rebooted lost count many times since i reinstalled update, the lack of notification sound was 1 of the reasons i reinstalled in the first place. whats sus?
