I brought my Xperia Neo 3 months back & it was working fine till last week.
However occassinally when i'm receiving a call i had some trouble answering or rejecting the call as i was unable to drag the call button in one go (trying 3 or 4 times was required). So what i did was quicky turn off the screen using power button & turn on again using the home button. This resolved the issue.
Sadly since last week this occasional glitch was not resolved by quickly turning off & turning on the screen. Also i have noticed the same issue is appearing when i'm trying to unlock the phone. When i press home button to unlock the screen & drag the unlock button from left to right, it seems the button does not get selected in one go. I have to try several times.
Also i've noticed the touch screen is not functioning as usual for atleat 30 seconds after unlock.
1. Pattern unlock does not work for applications. i.e GO SMS (I have to try several times).
2. Menu swipe does not work & whenever i try to swipe, the icon gets selected. (Application gets launched)
3. Can't drag the Notification bar without trying several times.
However things become normal within short period of time (in abt 30 secs). After that everything works fine. But once i turn off the screen problem appear again.
I've tested touch screen with "Service Menu". There's nothing unusual in touch screen test.(Exactly records my touch patterns).
I'm frustrated with this issue and want some help. Does anybody come across this situation??? Is this a software or Hardware Issue???
Device Specs:-
Xperia Neo

Hey, I'm having the same issue with my Xperia Neo (MT15i).
My phone is nearly 2 years old. I have used Gingerbread, then ICS, Jelly Bean (Rooted-Cyanagenmod). I had no isse with the touch screen ealier. Since the phone performs bit slow on advanced android versions I decided to install Gingerbread again to make it faster.
From the day I installed GB again, I'm having this issue.
I believe it's a software issue. If it's a hardware issue touch screen shold not be working at all right?
Anyways did you fix the issue upgrading to ICS again?
