[Problem] Jerky sound for interlocutor during a call towards a landline

Good evening,

I'm a French owner of a Xperia Z1 since 1 year and 9 month, I made all system updates and my ISP is Numericable-SFR.

Sometimes, I call up contacts possessing a landline telephone. These complain to hear me in a jerky way and it makes the conversation very difficult. For my part, I've no problem to understand them except I'm obliged to activate the high-speaker because the sound is too low initially. I've already encountered this problem some time ago since the update for Lollipop (I think). After a few researches on forums, I've seen that some people have had this same problem and they desactivated subsequently the improvement of the voice and the suppression of microphone noise. I did it at this time and everything returned to order.

However, I've been faced the problem today again and I don't find a solution this time. For information, my interlocutors using a mobile phone receive me correctly (a few jerks perceptible nevertheless but unimportant compared to the landline). Besides, my mobile never have had a shock previously.

If someone have an idea of the orgin of the concern, I'll take it. However I would like to avoid to restore the factory configuration.

Thank you in advance,

Ronan Ségalen

If you experience this issue again, you might want to consider either repairing the phone with PCC or find the app that's causing this, perhaps its OK Google.

Do you experience the same while on safe mode ?

No, everything is working on safe mode. I exit safe mode just now and I call on a landline. It works again on normal mode but I'm not sure it will carry on in a few days.

Ok thank you for these fast and precise answers. Besides, I've a question : is it normal that I've lost a few contacts in normal mode after using safe mode ?

@RonanSégalen

Yes, Safe mode will request that you re-add a third party app account, such as box, you will have to re-log in and sync the contacts once more.
