Hi @Orcl
Welcome to the community.
Newer Xperia dual SIM models feature two GSM receivers, so both SIM cards are always active and will want to be selected for each call or SMS.
Is there any news from Sony on this subject? It would be good to know if the issue was resolved with the Marshmallow update at least..
I am thinking of buying a dual SIM phone and the C5 Ultra is a potential candidate but if I understand correctly I won't be able to make phone calls from my car because using the car controls the dialer will be stuck on the SIM selection screen everytime I try to make a call... is that correct?
If I understood correctly then this is a complete show stopper for me...
It makes you wonder if Sony employs at least a couple of people to run the most basic use cases on a phone before it is released. Has anyone tried to use this phone with a Bluetooth headset as part of the acceptance process? Apparently not.
Does anybody know if the update to Android 5.1 has addressed the issue of not being able to make calls via Bluetooth without having to confirm which SIM to use? Is there an option to set the default sim for calls now?
