Hi Lee,
Model No: NAS-55HDE with 1 x NAS-C5 slave.
Software Version 1.01.00
Symptom: When powering down unit displays blue flashing light and refuses to respond to any control other than the Power & Stop Button reset.
Having performed the reset the unit will switch on, behave normally, connect to remote unit etc. But will go back to blue flashing light as soon as you try to power down.
Does unit display this image: Yes.
I do not unplug my units at night.
I have tried applying the temporary fix, this does not seem to have changed anything.
I have tried using the Sony supplied dongle, same reaction. I have tried direct connection to my router (Netgear DG834G, Internet provider BT), same reaction. I have tried two ethernet extender systems (one wireless and one that loops through the mains), same reaction. It seems that the problem persists with any type of valid internet connection, but will clear and shut down properly if the internet is disconnected by unplugging dongle/ethernet cable/whatever before attempting to switch the NAS -SC55 off.
Anything else you need?
On a side issue, putting your Customer Services hat on, I have contacted CIC firstly so they have my details, if and when a solution becomes available. Secondly because when this issue began and CIC said they had no knowledge of any fault I had to try to clear the fault myself. Realising it was to do with the internet connection I purchased a new wireless dongle. When that failed to clear the problem I was advised to try a full system reset (deleting all my saved albums) and had to buy an external hard drive to back up the system, will Sony reimburse me for these purchases in the same way as they are assisting customers who have paid for repairs that were not needed due to this fault?
Regards
Simon

The workaround does not work on my unit
I have a NAS-S55HDE & NAS-C5E
I am using the Sony dongle and Sony Wireless Station on AOSS
The wireless station is connnected to a BT Hub
The Giga Juke is on Software 1.00.00
I also have on the home network a different manufacturer's internet DAB radio that connects to the Giga Juke as an UPnP Media server
Update received from Gracenote
"it turns out this was not a Gracenote issue, and I’m really hoping to get to them about procedures for possible retraction or clarification, or whatever’s appropriate in that realm. J

Hi StartTheCar
My model no is -= NAS S55HDE,
software version - 1.01.00,
the system locks up once put into standby and freezes with the blue strip light slowly pulsing as if music is being analysed. It can work as normal for days or only hours before this happens, with no discernable patten preceding it.
I see the screen as shown.
Can I please ask again that you remove the 'answer' tag. It is giving some forum users the wrong impression that a fix has been found. The fix does not last. Even if the fix appears to be more permanent for the models you have, if other users are finding that the fix does not work then the issue is not resolved.
Afternoon everyone
Thanks for the providing all those details so quickly. It allowed our engineers to focus on the NAS-S55 and produce the attached document. This new, model specific procedure should prove a more effective temporary solution for this model. Certainly it has so far proved effective on the units we have here.
We are also still looking at a more permanent fix (which I will continue to update you on) but this should allow you to fully use the product in the meantime. Any further issues, please continue to post here.
Best regards
Lee
Isn't this the same as the 'temporary fix' from the weekend?
Just made sure I had uploaded the correct PDF. Thankfully I had, and it is a new guide, created this week as a result of your feedback and specifically for NAS-S55.
