When trying to burn DVD's with Nero, I receive errors: power calibration error.
The cd/dvd fimware was allready updated but I noticed that the installed driver for this device is a Microsoft driver from 2001.
I could NOT find another driver here or anywhere else for the buildin Matshita UJ-820D dvd/cd device. Is there such driver, otther then the MS driver? Its not in the driver package in the driver section.
Or is there another sollution to correct the 'Power Calibration Error?

have the same problem with my grt816s, but it DOES write dvd but not cd when using nero. i get the same error message"power callibration error" when trying to burn cd. can anyone shed any light?
Have you tried a different brand of CD?
Interesting that it seems to be a problem when using Nero?
For me, it would burn CD's but not DVD's (Philips DVD+R) in Nero
But as I said. We buy Sony for quality, else we could buy a Toshiba etc for less pounds, however I have to say I am not very impressed with my Viao and I think when it comes time to change, it will not be Sony who gets my buisness.
I want a multi region player, I use a portable for conferances all over the world, and it only can be used in Europe? madness
Time and time again, the quality of parts is suspect
The super duper DVD burner runs slower than my kids bike
Get you act together Sony, or leave the laptop sector to Dell!
