ipod USB2 ports

Just got an ipod from the wife for xmas, and my three year old vaio with AMD Athlon, dosen't have a USB2 port, can my unit be upgraded to take one and what sort of costs are involved?

You can not upgrade your usb ports. You can however plug your ipod in your 'old' usb port, it will just go slower.
