Hi - I got a new Vaio FS315B on Monday, and a new Nokia N70.
First problem is that I can't get the PC talking to the Nokia via the supplied USB cable.
Second problem is that I tried to uninstall the Nokia software, but it wouldn't. I've managed to uninstall it using McAfee guardian but it's left entries all over the registry, and the software won't reinstall.
Help !!!!
THanks in advance!
and u r not alone....
funny that we pay all these money just to get ourselves into trouble, with a laptop that stops whenever it chooses, does not function as it should,no recovery /or very difficult when and if it works
anyway i d say dont bother ,return it and ask ur money back if u can .
as for my problem,it got solved after 100 restart and recovery processes it managed to get a bit stable and restart ,since then (1 day) is still OK but i fear that if it crashes again i will lose not only C but D and the recovery.
Yes i have extra recovery disks ,but this shouldnt happen to a brand new system, especially the widely advertised Vaio.
Sony has to respond effectivelly ,if they dont want to have these facts all over the world for the fraud they tried on consumers.
in other words leave me alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Umm I'm new to Vaio and hadn't heard of any problems - to be fair I think this is more of a Nokia issue than a Vaio issue, just wondered if anybody knew how to uninstall the pesky software or how to get the phone talking :s
Try Tune-Up Utilities to clear those entries
Thank you - in case anybody else hits this problem, turned out to be a known bug in the Nokia software. They have their own utility specially designed to clean up after the Nokia PC Sync s/w which did the trick.
