pocket vgf ap1L set up

i have bought the vp today, have charged itfor a few hours before switching the thing on then after 20 seconds it comes up with a list of languages, i select english, but it keeps on scrolling through the dont touch, do touch then back to the language screen again, is this normal or will i have to take it back to the shop for a replacement, thanx....:smileycry:

I has the same problem when I first turned mine on as well. You need to press the reset button on the bottom of the unit, and then try again ensuring that you do not touch the G-Sense pad until after it self configures. Good luck

NO NO NO !!!!!

Don't keep playing with it !!

This is another undocumented "feature". You MUST let the player charge before you even switch it on.

On inital power up it goes through a setup sequence that you cannot interrupt even by turning the player off and on again.
Low battery power comfuses the heck out of it

Just leave it to charge for 6 hours and then play with it - I'm sure it will be fine then.

Yey !!! Well done...

I'm sure you'll be pleased with it.
Everyone who sees my VP is impressed with it's looks and sound

I showed my VP to my best mate today and he immediately drove into town and bought one.

Still on sale for a bargain £199 from Dixons

Don't forget to do the upgades to Sonic Stage and Firmware.

http://www.vaio-link.com/vaiopocket/firmware/firmware.asp?l=en

You will then have gapless payback , native MP3 support and loads of other features.

Do thing in sequence and above all READ the instruction and follow them pecisely.

The headphones that come with it are a OK - just , so you may consider upgarding to something like SONY MDR-EX71SL

They are about 30 quid from Argos. They take a bit of getting used to, but they are very good if you stick with the rather strange "blocked ears" effect they have on you !!!

]Have Fun:smileyhappy:
