Why do you ask - is it some deep & meaningful tecky research project?
Nah, just my touchpad's left click button's not working as good as it used to.
I love usign the touchpad but whenever I am stationed at a desk with it, I plug in the optical mouse.
Broadband, wifi network and an ultra-portable...
What is ... 'docking' ?
I use a logitech optical mouse and a no name USB keyboard when "docked"

William,
Do you use the touchpad much at all? Mine is wearing out within 14 months - I think it's bad news that the buttons have worn out already. Thankfuly the spring isn't totally broken, so it's usable, but Sony should really use better materials.
Kee-Lo,
Sorry to hear the touchpad is wearing out after only 14 months.
I have never got on that well with my touchpad but since I have gone wireless I have started to use it more, as I use my laptop in different locations within the house, rather than previously mainly at my desk with a mouse and keyboard.
I still prefer a mouse but when not at my desk I tend to sit the laptop on my knees and just use the touchpad and laptop keyboard.
Would you be willing to fit a new one if you could source the par?
William
I think it would be pretty hard to do that.
After all it's not like I can't use it, the button's a bit loose, if I press it in a certain area it's nearly like new, wierd stuff.
Kee-Lo,
have a look at the exploded parts diagram for a GRX (USA models)
