Does anyone know how to changethe usb connection mode? Itis currently PTP and need it to be MTP. I can see no option under the connectivity settings.

Well, spend half an hour with Sony support who eventually told me that the option should exist under USB Connectivity when NOT connected to a PC and as it wasn't the only solution was a factory reset.

I have now just done this and hey ho - the tablet is now back in MTP mode Slightly_smiling_Face - so now just have to set everything back up again Slightly_frowning_Face However, for the record, the option is STILL NOT PRESENT so I believe this must be a bug in the 5.02 release.

Also, having done the factory reset, some of the pre-installed apps are not preset, specifically the Word/Excel etc. Any idea how to get them back or do i just need to download these from Play store?

There should be USB connection mode under Xperia connectivity-USB connectivity.

Thats what i would have thought. I have "USB Connectivity" and under that "Install software", "detect USB device" and "Tips for connecting with a usb device" but no other options to set the PC connection mode to MTP

What options do you have under detect USB? What about tips for connecting?

nothing just comes up with USB detected and the Tips is just a help page with nothing useful on it. I can't use PC Companion in this mode - which is why I need to change it Slightly_frowning_Face

As this is a relatively new device, many of us don't have it. Perhaps @Samuel can help here.

Do you have a USB cable connected to the phone when you're looking for these options?

Yes I have tried both with and without a cable. It's a Z4 WiFi Tablet by the way
