Hello,
I am using a new Sony Xperia E1, but my pedometer software does not count my steps.
I think in sleep mode the accelerometer does not work.
I had a WT19i (Walkman Live!) before, the same pedometer app worked well.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Sucy
The accelerometer isn't designed to act as a pedometer it is there to translate tilt motion to rotate the screen
Ok, back to the main problem...
Xperia E1 does not count my steps while it is in sleep mode but WT19i can do it. This is my problem its cause is either the accelerometer or not.
Are you using an app to do so?
Yes, I'm using NoomWalk, the same one I used on WT19i.
Just bc an app work with one phone it doesn't mean it will with all phones, it might be an app issue, contact the app developer regarding that, also do you have stamina mode on?
The program Walkmate from Sony has a similar problem (it is compatible with E1)
It seems that the system unloads driver accelerometer when the screen is inactive
STAMINA mode off, fw 20.1.B.2.15
Stamina mode is off.
