Managing MP3's by GROUP

I think the "Group" category is easiest for me to find my music on the Vaio Pocket, however .....

How come it lists everything in the order it was transferred from SS to the VP and not alphabetically.

e.g.

1. I transferred 3 albums by artists beginning with A.

I then had a play with the device (remember I just got it haha !!!)

2. I then transferred ALL other music I have (10Gig).

When you list by group, it starts with the 3 artists beginning with 'A' and then continues to list all others reverse alphabetically starting with 'Z'.

Now when I selected all for transfer I could see SS transferring them reverse alphabetically, so it is clear the VP device is displaying the mucis in the order it was transferred !!!!

There must be a way to change this ? If I add any more music from this point forward, it would be hard to find !!!! Well, no it wouldn't actually, I'd just have to wait forever until it scrolled to the end of the list.

Am I missing something.

You can rearrange the group order by changing it manually on the device section of SonicStage. Simply drag the folders up and down the list. Not perfect but helpful when you have your whole collection on there, or when adding a new album you can drag it to where it appears alphabetically.

I don't mind puting in a bit of drag and drop effort if it means I'll have a smile on my face ultimately.

Incidentally, on another note, I can import cover art to an album in SS, but do I have to retransfer the whole album (music and all) to get the voer art across ?

Maybe I should have thought about the cover art befoer I transferred my 10Gig of music ?

When I transfer stuff I select each album individually, if you hold Ctrl as you click you can highlight however many you want.

Cover art?? I think you will have to re transfer again with the art attached first.
