PCG-K115Z Freezing please help..!!!

Is anyone else having problems with the K115 series freezing. It happens normally after 15-20 mins of use and can occur during any activity (normally low or idle) the mouse freezes up and nothing responds (not even ctl+alt+del) You have to hard power off. It happens a lot when using Internet Explorer.

I tried restoring using the system restore disk and that seemed to solve it, but 2 days later it seems to be happening again.

I have registered the warranty but when I try to log into e-support it states it doesnt recognise my email address.

Most frustrating....please advise

Mike

Good luck, I really hope they do something to help you out.

Nope, they refuse to do anything.

They are sending it back tommorrow. They say if it freezes again to send it to them again. How long can this madness go on for. I even said I would accept it being swapped for a cheaper lower specced model but they refused. I asked them to part exchange it for a different model even a lower priced one and they also refused.

Its all a bit depressing...

I'm sure trading standards would be interested in this case.

OK, I have to say it here:smileycry:

Our K115B which was repaired about 1,5 months ago (see start of this post) is now back again to VAIO-Link.

The same problem again, total freeze.

Sigh, so now hopefully Sony can't pretend it's nothing... as it happens to their own staff
