Sony VP - Not a happy bunny

Hi there all. I'm really in need of help. I'm not sure if I have a problem with the VP or Sonic Stage but I'm not having a good time.

Basically, I have had it since Friday and have not had a chance to listen to any music yet. (£200 from dixons!!!)

I have found that I can quite easily import files into sound stage and am able to playback files from this program (actually its easy to use). However, when I come to try and transfer anything onto the VP, the system looks like its doing it but in the end I just get a message saying that xyz file was not transfered (xyz = all). This has even happened with a CD I have just put straight into SS...

I have windows XP lates updates installed and SS 3.1 so I cant really figure out the problem. I'm not sure if its simething I'm doing or if the VP I have is a dud......

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anthony

Are you sure you are pushing the buttons in hard enough. THEY DO PUSH IN! I had this problem and I must insist when I realised that you had to push the buttons in it workd.

I think what you need to do is upgrade the firmware first and then reset the machine by reformatting the hard drive.
You will lose your songs so make sure you back up.

After that VP should be fine.
